Description

A house, dating to the 17th century, was later altered to create two separate houses during the 18th and 19th centuries. The timber frame is exposed on the ground floor, resting on a brick sill, and the exterior is roughcast with a steep roof covered in old red tiles. A section of red brick forms the ground floor on the north end, and a brick and slate rear extension, projecting to the north, was added in the 19th century. The building fronts the roadside facing west and is two stories high, featuring two windows on each floor, with a door located next to the left-hand corner. The windows are flush-faced casements with small panes of glass. A central chimney with two flues is visible, with a later flue added on the west side in the late 18th or 19th century. The building is said to have originally been thatched. Number 11 occupies the northern half of the structure.
