Description

This is a house dating from the 17th century, later faced with brick in the 18th or 19th century. The north gable is roughcast, the front is red brick, and the roof is steeply thatched, extending over a rear outshut. It is a 1½-storey, 3-cell house with an internal chimney plan, the chimney situated roughly a third of the way from the south end. A swept dormer is located at the eaves over the south part of the house, positioned above a gabled porch. A plaque depicting a lion rampant is fixed to the front of the building, opposite the chimney. There is a double conjoined swept dormer at the eaves to the north part, and the front door is flanked by two windows to the left and one window to the right. A gabled porch leads to the front door. A 19th-century chimney is visible on the external north gable. The main chimney consists of two square shafts linked by a recessed section.
