Description

This is an aisled barn located about 20 metres west of Old Manor Farm House. It appears to date from 1795, as indicated by "P.H. 1795" inscribed on a tie beam, although it has been altered in the 20th century. The barn is timber-framed with a brick base and is weatherboarded, having a corrugated sheet roof. It comprises three bays of unequal size, with a single aisle at the rear. A central double entrance is present. Inside, the barn features jowled posts with arched braces to the tie beams and arcade plate. The arcade plate has been renewed above the tie beam, with angled struts supporting the principals. The barn is included on the list for its group value.
