Description
Tanglewood is a Grade II* listed building located in Sollershott West, built in 1907 by M H Baillie-Scott. It features an open-plan arrangement inspired by the medieval hall-house. The building has two storeys and an asymmetrical design on the north front, with a central bay flanked by two differently sized gables that extend nearly to the ground. The roof is a combination of hipped and gabled tiles, supported by brick stacks. The walls are roughcast, with the central bay showcasing exposed studwork. The windows are irregular, mullioned casements with leaded lights. There is a recessed doorway with a four-centred arched head. Inside, the studio and sitting room create a single space, with the fireplace and bay defined by exposed principal beams that connect to the columns via curved braces.
