Description

35 and 37 Baldock Road are a pair of semi-detached houses built in 1905 by H C Lander for his own occupation. They are designed in a style inspired by Voysey's Chorleywood House and feature one and a half storeys. The irregular facade is dominated by gabled end bays with deeply swept roofs. The houses have tiled roofs with roughcast stacks and roughcast walls. There are gabled and hipped dormers with casement windows, including a jettied central dormer. The mullioned casement window, which has glazing bars, is altered in No 37. The window labels are extended to form strings, and the entrances have half glazed doors.
