Description
7 William Way is a house built in 1909 by Bennett and Bidwell, designed by Wilson Bidwell for his own use. It features an open ground floor plan with principal beams that define the space, similar to the style of Baillie-Scott. The house has one and a half storeys and a two-bay front with irregular window arrangements. It has a tiled roof with gables and swept eaves, along with tall brick chimneys. The walls are roughcast, and there is a timber-framed entrance bay with brick nogging on the ground floor and a tile-hung, jettied first floor. The windows are mullioned casements with tile labels and leaded lights. The framed doorway has an ogee head and a boarded door.
