Description

This barn, now used as stables, is located on the east side of Arnold's farmhouse in Pottersheath. It dates from the 17th and 18th centuries and features a timber frame construction. The building is low, with weatherboarding and plastered brick, topped by a plain tile roof. It consists of 6 to 7 bays, which include tie beams and queen struts. There are five modern stable doors, and the right center bay has been floored over. The two bays at the right end are part of the earlier structure. This barn is included for its group value with the farmhouse.
