Description
Lower Green Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It is constructed with a timber frame and roughcast, topped with steep old red tile roofs. The building is a long, irregular structure located at the rear of a farmyard, facing west. The central block is tall and two stories high, featuring a rear outshut and a very large chimney on the southern half. Each floor has one flush three-light casement window. At the southern end, there is a lower two-story section with a two-light casement window on each floor. The entrance is through a gabled porch that leads into a single-story northern part, which has a chimney on the north gable. The main chimney is adorned with pilaster strips above the roof.
