Description
The Windmill Public House is a building dating from around 1760, originally featuring a rear block that served as the front of the structure. This section is two stories high with five bays, constructed of red brick laid in header bond, though it has undergone modern repairs. It has flush sash windows and a blocked central entrance door, with end stacks and an old tiled roof. To the left, there is a two-storey wing that has modern weatherboarding and a low single-storey projecting addition. The front block, built around 1800, is also two stories tall and has three bays. It is symmetrical, featuring double-storey canted bay windows and a central entrance door, along with a bracketed slate canopy and a low-pitched slate roof. The ends have stacks, and there is a weatherboarded lean-to on the left and a modern addition on the right.
