C18 red-brick mansion with many additions. Main block, mid C18, with two storeys, three dormers in tiled mansard roof behind parapet. Two full-height, three-window flanking bays. Central Venetian window on first floor. On the ground floor the central door and window on either side are now covered by a conservatory filling the space between the bays. Three-window, two-storey-and-dormer wing of same date on left with late C18 or early C19 three-storey wing beyond. The right is a lower (earlier ?) long, two-storey wing with steep, pitched roof and irregularly-spaced windows; beyond this is a C19 cottage, sheds etc. Window glazing mostly modern except in case of late C18 wing. Behind this wing is a taller, three-storey C19 block. Lately bought by Oliver Borthwick as the Memorial "Morning Post" Home.

The building was formerly listed in the London Borough of Barnet.
