Description
No. 19 High Street is a house that has been converted into commercial premises. Originally built in the 16th century, it was refronted and altered in the 19th century, with a shopfront added in the 20th century. The building features a timber frame with a stucco exterior and a hipped roof covered in old tiles, topped with a moulded plaster eaves cornice. It stands three storeys tall, with jettied upper floors. The ground floor has a modern shopfront with a terrazzo stallriser and timber above, along with a fascia that is applied to the overhanging jetty. The first and second floors each have one early 19th-century flush-set sash window with divided glazing. The first-floor window has a ribbed surround with paterae, while the second-floor window features a moulded architrave.
