Description

No. 16 West Street is a house that has been converted into a café with a flat above. It dates back to the 15th century, with alterations made in the 18th century and further changes in the 1980s. The building features a timber frame that is faced with stucco and has an old tiled roof. It is two storeys high.

On the first floor, there are two modern flush set sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor has a modern shopfront beneath a jetty, with timber pilasters on either side of the entrance door, and a modern triple-light sash window to the right. The jetty is covered with modern hardwood panels that have an incised 'S' motif. Inside, the timber framing is exposed, and there is a moulded crown post supporting the first floor roof.
