Description
Ingletts Hall Cottage is a house that dates from the 18th century or earlier, with a west wing added in the mid-19th century. The main structure is timber-framed and plastered, while the west wing is built of red brick. It features old red tiled roofs and is a long, low one-and-a-half-storey building facing south, with a short single-storey brick extension at the west end. The cottage has a three-unit central chimney plan, with a parlour at the east that shares the chimney with the central room. The entrance is located at the west end of the central room, which has a gabled porch. The front has four windows and a door with a lean-to porch next to the east corner. There are three gabled dormers in the roof slope, and the windows are two-light flush casements. The west end of the extension features a small canted oriel window and a pierced wavy bargeboard with a central pendant. The cottage serves as a picturesque complement to the nearby church.
