Description
Stylemans is a house dating from the 16th century or earlier, originally timber-framed. It has a concrete tile roof. The house is two storeys high with a symmetrical two-window front. The south side features modern casement windows, except for an early 19th-century sash window to the west of the front door. The first floor has a deep jetty supported by curved brackets. The west ground floor is battered. Inside, there are exposed timber beams and a four-centred arch doorway on the east ground floor. The roof is a crown post roof, which was altered later to a lower pitch. A cast iron hand pump is located in the garden.
