Description
The pump and well at Mundenbury, located 7 meters to the northeast of the house, is a 19th-century structure. It features a pump made by Jos Evans & Sons of Wolverhampton, which is connected to an older brick-lined well. The pump is constructed from cast iron and is notable for its red brick lining. It bears a lion trademark and is a cranked double-acting pump with a large flywheel and gearing supported by two openwork cast iron trestles that stand about 1.5 meters high. The pump is oriented east-west and has raised cast lettering on each side, making it an impressive example of 19th-century engineering.
