Description
The Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with a 20th-century extension. It features a timber frame that is dark weatherboarded above a high plinth made of flint and brick on the north side, while the south side is constructed of plastered brick. The north side facing the road is plastered and decorated with relief flowers in moulded frames. The house has a steep old red tile roof and is one and a half storeys tall, with a two-room layout and a central chimney. It has small casement windows set in flush frames. There is a 20th-century lean-to extension and a large single-storey glazed extension attached to the eastern end.
