Description

The barn at the rear of Number 10 is a Grade II listed building dating from the 18th century, with a northern front that was modified in the 19th century. It features a timber frame that is roughcast, with the upper part covered in dark weatherboarding. The northern front is made of red brick and has a red tile roof. This three-bay barn faces north onto the lane and has a symmetrical front. It includes wide double doors that are flanked by three-light Gothic cast iron framed windows set in chamfered openings beneath segmental arches. The interior is ceiled and plastered beneath the tie-beams. This barn is part of a picturesque group of former tannery buildings and is included for its group value.
