Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century house. It is timber-framed with dark weatherboarding and red pantile gabled roofs. The house is T-shaped, facing east, with the main entrance located in the gable of the south crosswing. A brick chimney is situated at the junction of the wings, while an external chimney is present on the north gable. The front door is a six-panel moulded door, sheltered by a flat hood. There is one window in the upper gable of the crosswing and two windows under the eaves of the higher main range. The windows are two-light, small-paned casements. A modern three-light casement is located on the ground floor, and a small, one-story square bay window sits on the south end, featuring a tiled hipped roof, a brick base, and lattice-leaded glazing. The house is a picturesque weatherboarded cottage at the entrance to the village.
