Description

This is an early 19th-century granary located 45 metres to the south-east of the main house at Bayfordbury Park Farm. The granary is a tall, two-storey timber-framed structure, clad in dark weatherboarding and raised on dressed limestone stadle-stones. It sits on a five-by-five grid of stadles, facing west. The pyramidal slate roof is a prominent feature. There is a central boarded door at each of the two floor levels, and two small, two-light windows on each floor facing north and south. An iron projecting support is present, indicating where a pulley was used for hauling grain to the upper double doors.
