Description
The granary at High Trees Farm is a late 18th-century structure. It features horizontal boarding on a timber frame made of thin scantling, elevated on limestone staddle stones. The roof is hipped and covered with plain tiles, accented by lead rolls. On the south elevation, there is a plain doorway with a boarded door. This granary is a nearly complete example of the traditional vernacular style found in the region, characterized by its timber-framed superstructure raised above the ground on stone piers that have widened caps to prevent vermin.
