Description
The terrace wall at Standon Lordship West, located 30 metres southeast of the house, dates from the 16th century and was heightened in the 19th century. It is constructed of narrow red brick with wide mortar joints. The later work includes narrow piers that project on the west side. This wall defines the eastern side of the terraced garden to the south of the house. It extends 45 metres to the south, interrupted by a drive leading to The Coach House near its southern end, and then turns to run about 25 metres to the east. There is a blocked opening near the end of the wall.
