Description

The walls to the north garden of Goldings are a Grade II listed structure, dating from the early 19th century. They form a walled garden that measures approximately 60 meters by 80 meters. The walls are primarily constructed of red brick, with some sections reconstructed in yellow brick on the south side, reaching a height of around 3 meters. The top of the walls features brick and stone copings.

A large Tudor arched gateway is located in the center of the south side, and there is a similar arched opening on the east side, flanked by piers and featuring twin leaf battened gates, situated about 8 meters north of the southeast corner. This walled kitchen garden is associated with the earlier Goldings house and is aligned in a north-south direction, with its southwest corner approximately 18 meters from the kitchen wing of the replacement mansion built between 1871 and 1877.

The walls hold historical significance and contribute to the overall setting of Goldings mansion.
