Description
Hill Farm is a house from the 17th century that was altered in the early 19th century. It features a timber frame set on a stuccoed sill, with roughcast walls and red tile roofs that have box eaves. The building is L-shaped and low, with two storeys, facing north and having a rear wing on the southeast. Originally designed as a three-cell, one-and-a-half storey house with an internal chimney, the walls have been raised to two full storeys. An additional west bay was added, which has a lower plinth, and there is likely a gabled rear wing with an end chimney.
The north front has four windows, which are two-light, small pane, flush casements with moulded surrounds. The windows on the ground floor are taller. There is a separate door leading to the east room at the eastern end of the house, with a chimney situated between this room and the hall. The central door, which is raised by two steps, also has a moulded surround. At the rear, there is a boarded door opposite the central door, with a lean-to porch flanked by two-light casements. Additionally, there is a separate door to the kitchen wing, which has two- and three-light 19th-century casement windows.
