Description

Willow Cottage is a house dating from the early 19th century, likely incorporating a 17th or earlier timber frame. It is built of stock brick, with probable timber framing visible in places. The roof is steeply pitched and thatched. The house is a two-cell lobby entry plan, with one storey and an attic. A rendered plinth is present. A central, gabled entrance porch was added in the 20th century, flanked by three-light casement windows with cambered heads. There are two three-light dormers with thatched gabled heads. A central stack is located behind the ridge of the roof. The whitewashed and rendered gable ends feature attic casements, along with exposed plates and purlins. At the rear, there are three leaded casement windows, one of which is tripartite, all set within flush frames and with cambered heads. A flat-roofed addition was built in the 20th century to the right end. A secondary entrance is located within a lean-to on the rear left. The interior has not been inspected.
