Description

This is an early 19th century red brick house, located on London Road. The building originally had a hipped slate roof. A two-storey slate roof stucco extension, set back on the north side, was added during the late 19th century when the house was subdivided. The front facade is symmetrical with three windows. The central door is topped by a 6/6 pane window. Slightly recessed box sashes are present on both floors. Originally, there were 8/8 sashes on each side of the building, but number 93 now features modern casements on both floors. Number 91 retains three-light Victorian sashes on the ground floor, topped with a square lintel. The original six-panel front door features flush panels below the lock rail and moulded panels above. It is surrounded by a reeded architrave with roundels in the corner blocks, and sits under a flat hood supported by boldly shaped brackets with pendant balls.
