Description

The following building shall be added:-

TRING RURAL SP 91 SW GRAND UNION CANAL 4/171 AYLESBURY ARM LOCK NO. 4 II Canal lock. 1811-13 with later alterations. Engineer Henry Provis for Grand Junction Canal Company. Brick with granite quoins and coping, and some brick coping. Narrow lock to take a single narrowboat. Single gate at east end, hinged at north side; double gate at west end; with paddles and winding gear. Datestones of 1853 and 1864, east gate dated 1985. Brick-lined entrances.
