Description

Numbers 21 (The Clock House) and 23 are an early 18th-century red brick building, with later 19th-century alterations and extensions. The central block is two storeys with a steeply pitched roof covered in old tiles, featuring boxed attic dormers. It has three sash windows in flush architrave frames. The doorway is framed by an architrave with narrow side panels, fluted consoles supporting a gable and decorative paterae, a fluted frieze, a dentil cornice, and a pediment. A parapet curves upwards on either side. The side blocks were added in the early 19th century and are constructed of yellow stock brick, with slate roofs and a first-floor band. They each have two flush sash windows. Number 23 has a three-window modern extension to the north, while Number 21 has a mid-19th-century rear extension to the south, along with a modern garage.
