Description

Granta is a grade II listed range of 17th century timber-framed and plastered buildings located on Newport Station Road, extending to the east. At the west end, there is a 19th century red brick block that faces High Street. The building is two storeys high. The east wing features four windows with casement frames and a thatched roof. The west block has three windows on its western front and a two-storey canted bay on the south side. The windows include a mix of partly double-hung sashes with glazing bars and partly modern top-opening casements that mimic the appearance of double-hung sashes. The roof of the west block is slate and hipped at both the north and south ends.
