Description

This is a mid 17th century barn located 100 meters to the north of Merks Hall. It features a timber frame with black weatherboarding and has a half hipped roof made of corrugated iron. The barn consists of five bays and includes a central gabled midstrey on the south side. Notable architectural details include arched braces supporting the tie beams and halved and bladed scarf joists. The barn is situated on an ancient moated site.
