Description

This is a range of 18th-century timber-framed cottages located on the south-east side of Cambridge Road in Stansted Mountfitchet. Numbers 46 to 52 are plastered externally, while number 54 is faced with weatherboarding. The cottages are generally one storey with attics, though number 52 is two storeys in height. Most windows are casements, some with lattice leaded lights. Number 46 features double-hung sash windows with glazing bars. The roofs are tiled; the roof of numbers 46 to 50 has a mansard with three dormers, and number 54 has a large, modern gabled dormer.
