Description
Leighs Lodge Outbuilding, located 20 meters northwest of the house, is a late 16th-century structure that may have originally served as a byre with a granary above. The building is 7 bays wide and 2 bays deep, featuring an integral aisle, with all bays supported by arch braces to the bridging joists. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, topped with a half hipped gambrel roof that is clad in corrugated iron. This outbuilding is a very rare survival in Essex.
