Description
Leighs Lodge is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations and additions, including a wing at the rear. It features a large, hipped, gambrel roof covered in red plain tiles and stands two storeys high. The structure is timber framed and plastered, with panelled pargetting extending out to the left. The front has a range of five windows, which include small paned sliding sashes and small casements. To the right, there is a two-storey flat-headed semi-circular porch that has matching large and small windows in three ranges, along with a central five-panelled door topped by a semi-circular fanlight. The doorcase is adorned with moulded pilasters and an open pediment. Small paned windows are located to the right and left of the porch. The building is also noted for its three red brick chimney stacks.
