Description
The conduit in the inner quadrangle at Leez Priory is a hexagonal building dating from the 18th to 19th century, designed in the Gothic style. It is constructed from re-used stone taken from the former monastic buildings and consists of two stages, resting on a broad brick base. The lower stage features arched openings on each side, topped by an embattled parapet and restored pinnacles. The upper stage is panelled and culminates in an ogee cap adorned with a foliated finial. This structure is part of a group that includes the Inner Gatehouse at Leez Priory, two barns at Leez Priory Farm with a fishing hut, and the walls of the kitchen garden at Leez Priory.
