Description

Lower Barn north east of Colville Hall was built in 1630. It features a timber frame and is weatherboarded with a hipped thatched roof. There is a hipped midstrey to the north. The barn consists of five bays, with most of the original frame still intact, including long jowls and arch braced tie beams. It has aisles only on the north side and trenched wall bracing on the south wall. The original date of 1630 is inscribed in two places.
