Description

Lower Cottages is a house, now divided into two cottages, likely dating back to the 17th century or earlier. The building is timber-framed and has been roughcast rendered, with a hipped roof covered in red tiles. It is two storeys high and features various 20th-century casement windows and two 20th-century doors, each approached by a flight of steps. Four red brick chimney stacks are present. A beam internally is carved with the date 1630. Timber framing is visible in several rooms.
