Description

Ivy Cottage and Stane Cottage are a pair of cottages, originally a late 15th or early 16th century gabled crosswing. They are timber-framed and rendered with a red plain tile roof. The building is two storeys high. The timber frame is exposed on the north front. The front has a three-window range, including one 18th century double-hung sash window with glazing bars, two 19th century casement windows, and horizontal sliding sashes on the ground floor. A modern extension has been added to the east side. The building possesses group value from its contribution to the streetscape.
