Description
Lilley Green is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier. It has a timber frame, is plastered and weatherboarded, and features a thatched roof that is half-hipped at both ends. The building consists of three bays and is a single storey with attics, featuring an axial chimney located in the middle bay. On the ground floor, there are three 19th-century cast iron casements, along with a 20th-century porch. Above, in the eyebrow dormers, there are two 20th-century wooden casements. The house is situated 250 metres from the nearest building and 350 metres from a hard-surfaced road, accessible only via a green lane, which suggests it may have avoided recent modernisation. Internal access was refused in January 1983.
