Description

Yew Tree Farm barn, located approximately 20 meters south of the farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century. The barn features 19th and 20th century weatherboarding over a timber frame, with lath and daub render applied to the upper halves of the side walls. It has a gabled roof made of corrugated asbestos and a central plank door. Inside, the barn retains a complete timber frame with straight bracing from jowled posts to tie beams, raking struts supporting the clasped purlin roof, and some split oak rafters.
