Description

Yew Tree House is a 17th century or earlier house located on Takeley Street. It features a timber frame and plastered exterior with a red plain tile roof. The building has a gabled crosswing at the east end and stands two storeys high, with a range of four windows fitted with modern casements. There is a small late 18th century doorcase with a pediment and moulded architraves. An early 17th century red brick chimney stack adds to its character. Additionally, there is a modern lean-to extension at the front of the east end.
