Description

Street Farmhouse is an early 17th century house located on the north side of Takeley Street. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and features a five-window range, with 19th century casements on the first floor. The ground floor consists of two bays that have shaped heads to the glazing bars. There is a small gabled porch at the entrance. A notable feature is the 17th century red brick chimney stack, which has four attached shafts.
