Description
The Green Man Public House is a late 16th century building located on Takeley Street. It features a gabled crosswing at the east end and is constructed from timber framing with plaster, topped by a red plain tile roof. The building stands two storeys high and has a three-window range with modern casements. At the front, there is a lean-to canopy with a slate roof and two 19th century bay windows below. Additionally, there is a 19th century bay window with a slate roof at the east end. The building is adorned with a 16th century red brick chimney stack that has three diagonal shafts, along with a modern chimney stack at the east end.
