Description
Four Gables is a 17th century house that likely includes parts of an earlier structure. It is timber framed and plastered, topped with a red plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and features a crosswing at the east end, along with three prominent gables. The facade includes a five-window range with 18th century double hung vertical sliding sashes that have glazing bars. There is a 20th century arcaded projecting shop front and a lean-to extension at the east end. The house also displays 19th century bargeboards with pendants, 19th century pierced ridge tiles, and 19th century red brick chimney stacks.
