Description

Paynes Farmhouse is a 17th-century house that features a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a red plain tile roof. The lower part of the house is covered with weatherboarding. It has two storeys and three prominent gables. The front has three windows, which are 18th-century vertical sliding sashes with glazing bars and small casements. There is a central six-panel door. At the rear, there are vertical sliding sashes and a doorcase with a pediment. The house is also adorned with three red brick chimney stacks.
