Description

The barn, located 50 meters east of Duton Hill Farmhouse, dates from the 17th to 18th century. It is timber framed and covered in black weatherboarding, topped with a half hipped corrugated asbestos roof. The structure consists of five bays and features a later projecting midstrey on the west side. The framing includes straight bracing, a side-purlin roof, and knees to the tie beams. Additionally, there are lean-to outshots and a low range of slate-roofed implement sheds that create an irregular two-sided court.
