Description

Deers Leap is a cottage, likely dating from the 16th century and later, featuring one storey and attics. It has a timber frame with plaster and a thatched roof, which includes two eyebrow dormers. There is a small, red brick stack located off-centre along the ridge line. The front of the cottage has old cast iron casements with leaded lights, and there is a 20th-century lean-to porch with a pantiled roof. Inside, it is noted that the eastern bay was originally low and single storey but has since had its eaves line raised. The top plate displays halved and bridled scarf joints, and the roof has been rebuilt at a later date.
