Description
This is a 17th-century barn located approximately 10 metres south of Deal Tree Farmhouse in Great Canfield. The barn is timber-framed, with the midstrey weatherboarded and the lower part weatherboarded, while the upper section is plastered. The roof features corrugated iron over the midstrey and thatch over the remainder. The structure consists of five bays and a midstrey to the southeast, with half-hipped ends. Notable architectural details include jowled wall posts, cambered tie beams, and primary straight bracing in the walls.
