Description

This is a 17th-century barn located 40 metres north of Greensteadhall Farmhouse. It is timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, topped with a roof made of corrugated asbestos. The barn has five bays that are aligned east to west and features aisles on both sides. There is a central gabled midstrey on the south side and another midstrey on the north side with a lean-to roof. The main roof is half-hipped. Notable architectural details include jowled posts, face-halved and bladed scarfs in the plates, and arched braces supporting the tiebeams. The farmhouse itself is not listed.
