Description

This is an early 17th-century cottage located in Thaxsted Bardfield End Grew. It is timber-framed and plastered, with a thatched roof. The cottage is a single storey with attics, and has two windows, now fitted with modern leaded casements. There are two gabled dormers and a thatched porch. The original central chimney stack is constructed of red brick. Internally, the timber frame remains largely intact, featuring original fireplaces, mantel beams, and a number of original doors.
