Description

Gridiron Hall is a cottage dating from the 17th or 18th century, originally built with medieval timber. It has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The structure is timber framed and plastered, topped with a thatched roof that has a gable on the right side. There is a red brick chimney stack. The cottage is a single storey and features a 20th-century flat-roofed porch and an additional gable to the left of the original gable. The window arrangement consists of a series of 20th-century casements, arranged in a pattern of three, one, one, and one. Inside, notable features include vertically boarded doors, an exposed timber frame, and a restored fireplace.
