Description

No. 74 is a house located on the south side of High Street in Brightlingsea. It dates from the 17th or 18th century or possibly earlier. The building is plastered and likely faced with red brick, featuring a weatherboard gable on the left return. It has a red plain tiled roof and a central red brick chimney stack. The house is two storeys high and has end pilasters. The front has a range of three vertically sliding sash windows with glazing bars. The central entrance features a six-panelled door with a fluted surround and a flat canopy above.
